Geng Kheaw Wan Gai (Green Curry Chicken)
The name "green" curry infers from the color of the dish, which comes from green chillies.The "sweet" in the Thai name (wan it's means "sweet") refers to the particular color green itself and not to the taste of the curry. As this is a Thai curry based on coconut milk and fresh green chillies, the color comes out creamy mild green or, as this color is called in Thai, "sweet green".
Thai cuisine is so quite popular and focuses on the texture, color, taste and healthful of the dish. Thai curries are made of various curry pastes. They can be vegetarian and non-vegetarian. The non-vegetarian ones can also be made up of seafood or chicken and meat. Thai curries are typically cooked in coconut milk with a curry paste.
One of my favorite Thai curries is green curry, spicy, fragrant, sweet and savory at the same time. Green curry is such a great delight, specially when served with cooked rice.
